PROJECT AND PRESENTATION_________________________________________________________________ Project 1 Title: CODE LOCK SYSTEM Summary: The Simple Code Lock is basically an electronic code lock that responds only to the right sequence of four digits that can be punched in through the nine keys available on a typical keypad. It is used for Security purpose. Work Description The Simple Code Lock is basically an electronic code lock that responds only to the right sequence of four digits that can be punched in through the nine keys available on a typical keypad. Two Flip-Flops IC1 and IC2 [CD4013] are used in the circuit. Total four push switches are connected in series with positive supply from pin no. 3 and 11 of both ICs. In circuit diagram the wires to both end of these switches from both Its [3,4] are termed W, X, Y, Z terminals respectively. When the switches are pressed in this order the relay in circuit will be activated. Project 2 Title: INTELLIGENT LOCOMOTIVE ENGINE WITH ADVANCED SAFETY DEVICES Summary: It is an engine that can solve umpteen issues such as delay of trains during winter season due to fog. It has automatic braking system thatll operate in 2 conditions Train on the same track. Breakage in the track. It has a dynamo which converts kinetic energy into electrical energy which can be used for energy requirements in the train. Work Description: Many electronic devices were used including Infrared light as communication medium because of its low cost and better reception in short range communication. The O\P of sensor does not have the current capacity to drive the microcontroller hence we use the buffer amplifier between sensor and micro controller. Astable M.V. generates the switching waveform to switch the IR LED on & off the frequency of the M.V. depends upon the sensor used. Project 3 Title : DESIGN OF HEAT EXCHANGER Summary: Studied working of heat exchanger and its industrial application. Studied different types of tubes required in manufacturing of heat exchangers. Work Description: Heat exchanger is component used in all mechanical and electrical devices to transfer heat. There are three primary classifications of heat exchangers according to their flow arrangement. In parallelflow heat exchangers, the two fluids enter the exchanger at the same end, and travel in parallel to one another to the other side. In counter-flow heat exchangers the fluids enter the exchanger from opposite ends. The counter current design is the most efficient, in that it can transfer the most heat from the heat (transfer) medium due to the fact that the average temperature difference along any unit length is greater.
