The true strength of YDA is our membership and these appointed positions offer members the opportunity to bring their skills and expertise to the highest levels of political action. As the largest partisan youth organization in the country, YDA is expected to lead on progressive issues that affect young people including the Latino Community and the future of our country. In order to do this, we need the best people working alongside the elected leaders of YDA to ensure that every opportunity to move America forward is met and YDA is part of meeting it. I hope you will consider applying for a position and forward this application to anyone you think would be qualified and an asset to YDA. The Positions are: Region Directors - Region Directors are primarily responsible for developing Hispanic caucuses and organizations within their regions state chapters, and should be actively engaged in helping increase Latino turnout and involvement within the states in their region. They are the primary point of contact between state chapters and the YDA Hispanic Caucus, and should maintain frequent communication between the YDA Hispanic Caucus and their regional and state leadership. Northeast: CT, ME, MA, NH, NY, RI, VT Mid-Atlantic: DE, DC, MD, NJ, PA, VA, WV, YDA Abroad Southeast: AL, FL, GA, KY, MS, NC, PR, SC, TN, VI Great Lakes: IL, IN, MI, OH Midwest: IA, KS, MN, NE, ND, SD, WI South-central: AR, LA, MO, OK, TX Southwest: AZ, CO, NV, NM, UT, WY Pacific: AK, AS, CA, GU, HI, ID, MT, OR, WA

Parliamentarian - The Parliamentarian provides advice on rules opinions for the Hispanic Caucus chair and, as directed, to the Caucus itself. The Parliamentarian should have a good working knowledge of Roberts Rules of Order, the YDA Charter and Bylaws, and the Hispanic Caucus bylaws. Minority Caucus Liason - The Mintority Caucus Liason will be responsible to attend all Minority Caucus meetings and report back to the HIspanic Caucus Executive Board about any information pertaining to the work of the HIspanic Caucus. College Democrats of America Liaison - The College Democrats of America Liaison is responsible for coordinating and communicating with the College Democrats of America Hispanic Caucus. Communications Director - The Communications Director manages the external outreach efforts of the Caucus. They will be primarily responsible for keeping the Caucus Fa cebook and Twitter presences updated, and will be asked to assist with the creation and national distribution of press releases from the Caucus (along with regional directors and the Political/Outreach Vice Chair).
