    CHARACTER PROFILE FOR THE

    Dr Karyo, was hard at work in his Nuclear Power Plant years ago when a tragic accident happened whilst dealing with very dangerous chemicals and substances. A deadly liquid burned through his skin and settled into his bloodstream. He woke up the next day with the most evil thoughts running through his mind and they have overrun his life ever since. He first built his lair, deep underground and hidden from the world so he could plan his crimes perfectly and make his sinister thoughts a reality

    VISUAL CONCEPT - SECRET LAIR


    The lair is situated underground, echoing the Large Hadron Collider and has similar brightly coloured elements so its exciting and has an atomic, chemical, science like feel. The walls are strong and indestructible and hold and very clean and organised space. The hero prop is centrepiece / main element of the lair as it holds so much power. The planets make an atomic structure like form, with the yellow pipes and swirling rings around them, your eyes are led all around the interior space in a short amount of time, exploring the whole room. Apart from the main one (with the blue ring) I aim to keep the planets rather similar to how they are and then the main one will hopefully be transparent to reveal the hero prop. My influence maps convey the general feel I would like to get across with my lair with very atomic, sciencey elements and vibrant colours about the space.

    The idea for my hero prop is that it is a kind of sleeping pod that protects the master criminal. Its his safest place to be, that energises and heals him so that his powers are always strong. I aim for it to be spherical in shape and the outer shell transparent so it is visible in the lair. It will be raised above the ground with a walkway / ramp leading to the entrance to show its importance and significance. There will be a futuristic style chair inside where the master criminal rests.
