The Institut franais works to promote films that form part of French cultural

heritage and organise non-commercial screenings of recent creations outside France. It supports world cinema through the Cinmathque Afrique, the Cinmas du Monde Pavilion at the Cannes Film Festival, and the World Cinema Support managed by the National Center for Cinematography and the Moving Image and the Institut franais.
