Most organizations plan for business success. Yet, few plan for the potentially devastating
effects of a crisis. Logical Management Systems, Corp., offers a two-day intensive
workshop designed to help you understand potential risks, hazards, threats and
vulnerabilities; develop plans to reduce your risk exposure and introduce the "All Hazards"
approach to Crisis Management Planning and effective incident response. This two-day
workshop focuses on key elements for an effective Crisis Management/Response
Program.
Day One
Day One focuses on the fundamentals for effective crisis management program
development. Introduced are the key elements for an effective hazard analysis, how to
identify hazards, current issues and potential threats, crisis management planning
concepts, commitment identification and tracking, how to conduct audits and perform
effective evaluations.
Many real world examples are provided for a greater understanding of the concepts
presented.
Day Two
Day two continues the development process begun on Day One. You will learn how to
develop and maintain a dynamic crisis management program, planning concepts, incident
assessment techniques, traps to avoid, how to select your planning team, elements of an
effective crisis management plan, what to and what not to put into your plan, management
and response components of the plan.

This session focuses on adapting the Incident Management System Structure to your
specific setting.
You will learn about types of Incident Management Systems, how to apply Incident
Management Philosophy to your setting, the role of management, interfacing with
external resources, the role of responders during incidents and how to tie the pieces
together.
A hands-on tabletop exercise concludes this session.
