June 5 : Crown land sold to the Guysborough Tourist Complex by the province for $222,822.06; no conditions placed on sale (Source: provincial government) June 28 : Deed for the Crown land is issued to the Guysborough Tourist Complex. Oct. 18 : Guysborough Tourist Complex transfers former crown land to Fun Holding. Deed mentions two parcels: 21.4 hectares and 2.5 hectares. Fun Holding Incorporated lists Michael (Ben) Barthe, Lutz Ristow, and Michael Rankl as directors. Barthe is president, Rankl is secretary-treasurer. Soon after Barthe and Ristow are listed as the directors and officers of Guysborough Tourist Complex.

Hines acquires land from Guysborough Memorial Hospital, adjacent to that owned by Guysborough Tourist Complex Ltd. The hospital property includes land that would be traded to the tourist complex in 1995.

D.G. 52 Co. Ltd., of California, acquires the former Crown land from Fun Holding.

Hines, as president of the Guysborough Tourist Complex, and wife Patricia, listed as secretary, swap land (comprising 3,394 square feet) known in documents as the Pro Shop land ( once part of Guysborough Memorial Hospital property) for 1.45 acres of waterfront property owned by the tourist complex across the peninsula, on Mussel Cove. Swap approved at special resolution meeting of Guysborough Tourist Complex directors.

Waterfront piece of the former Crown land is sold to an Ontario woman.
