Children’s Play Garden
A Waldorf Parent/Toddler ProgramFall 2009 Schedule
Parents and children join together in a world of wonder and beauty. Parents are gently guided in the art of parenting and handwork honoring the changing seasons.Children experience sharing and playing, using songs, stories, and outdoor play in a joyful and rhythmical way.
Session One:
Tuesdays (9/15—10/27), 9 am-11 am, (Sebastopol)
Session Two:
Tuesdays (11/3—12/15), 9 am-11 am, (Sebastopol)
Class Size:
Class size is limited to 6 children with their parents.
Ages:
Children aged walking (1.5) - 3 years old
Fees:
$20-$30* per class (sliding scale) for a Parent and Child pair$15 per class for additional sibling$20 supply fee requested each session*Note: a sliding scale is offered as an expression of our intention tonot turn anyone away. Please consult us about your needs.
Location:
Sebastopol (near the Laguna)
Snacks:
Please bring 1-2 bananas for the children

Mary Bowen, M.Ed.
Mary is a trained and experienced Waldorf teacher with 30 years experience as aneducator. Mary also currently serves as Director of the Nurturing Arts Center. She is aparent of two grown children and grandmother. Drawing from this wealth ofexperience, Mary introduces parents to Waldorf-based education. Using selectedarticles, seasonal crafting activities, doll making and other handwork, watercolor, song,and storytelling, parents are guided in completing inner work that helps to createhealthy families.
Marcia Larkin
Marcia is a former Waldorf teacher with 25 years experience teaching Kindergarten andother Parent/ Child Programs. Marcia opens her home to provide children and parentswith a lovely learning environment. A beautifully renovated barn situated in a lovelygarden serves as the children’s classroom. With a backdrop of the pastoral views of adairy farm and the Laguna in Sebastopol, nature is infused into the families’ experience.
