CHEESY KIYA RE! Heres a list of some mindless tracks with outrageous lyrics that rocked 2013
Jaya Biswas

Saucy, raunchy, corny, bizarre to say the least Bollywood lyrics couldnt get more suggestive or,dare we say, scandalous.Youngsters, however, never seem to mind these gandi baat at all.But then, who are we to complain Ever since Big B initiated us to the concept of double-meaning songs by lip-syncing to Hum toh tamboo mein bamboo lagai baithe in Mard (1985) and AR Rahman raised a storm by composing for Rukmini Rukmini,in Roja (1992) a naughty song that was openly expressive about a married couples first night encounters it hardly comes as a shocker even if Mika blasts on to the scene with Ishq ki naa ki in I Dont Luv U or Sunny Leone starts swinging to Laila teri le legi in Shootout At Wadala. So,which one do you think takes the cake

ISHQ GANGSTER (SHORTCUT ROMEO) Ishq hai sabse bada gangster/ Khoon kharaba karvaye/ Chaku chhuriyan chalwaye/ Dil mein dehshat failaye/ Gangster saala The song features Himesh Reshammiya in his classic (read, screaming) avatar. The tune and beats are good but the composition simply fails to impress.

DHATING NAACH (PHATA POSTER NIKLA HERO) Udan chu chu/ Main chidiya firangi/ Balam tu tu/ Tu desi mousambi This peppy number starts with Nargis Fakhri crooning alluringly and you know where this song is heading! Shahids effortless moves, however, serve as the saving grace because of which you dont really pay heed to the lyrics.

ISHQ KI NAA KI (I DONT LUV U) Kabhi status tera single/ Kabhi ready to mingle/ Arey ishq ki maa ki/ Haaye ishq ki naa ki Sung by the young and bold Mika Singh, this is the only number in the film that manages to grab attention. The track which speaks about how people survive trials and tribulations of love and betrayal works only because of its energy. The song ran into controversy because of its indecent lyrics. Not surprising that it had to be changed from Ishq ki Maa ki to Ishq ki naa ki after the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) raised objections.

TAMANCHE PE DISCO (BULLET RAJA) Teri jaan kasam, meri Rani/ Tujhe sar pe bitha lun/ Jo lootun tujhpe luta dun/ Main tere liye sabki baja dun/ Ghar se utha lun/ Jo naache na,ye nacha de,ye kara de/ Tamanche pe disco Saif and Sonakshi make some weird moves in this ridiculously tacky number. One wonders if its the latest version of Basantis (Hema Malini) dance sequence from Sholay. We neednt get into the whys and hows though.

SAREE KE FALL SA (RRAJKUMAR) Saree ke fall sa/ Kabhi match kiya re/ Kabhi chhor diya dil/ Kabhi catch kiya re This foot-tapping number by Antara Mitra and Nakash Aziz actually grows on you.Lyrics are as silly as it gets.Nonetheless, its addictive and is already a hit at night clubs. The choreography, specially designed by Prabhu Dheva, has some of his trademark moves that works wonders. GANDI BAAT (R RAJKUMAR) ABCD padhli bahut/ Thandi aahein bhar li bahut/ Acchi baatein kar li bahut/ Ab karunga tere saath/ Gandi baat Mika Singh and Kalpana Patowary come up with some bizarre lines in this mindless endeavour that drives you crazy. However, one must admit that the singers have such an awesome chemistry with the track that they make the most of the shoddy lyrics. The music just gets you grooving with the kuthu beats. But then, one wonders if any girl would ever enjoy being wooed by this song that says Aise kyun kyun kyun/ Karta tu tu tu/ Muh pe thu thu thu, pyaar mein

CHINGAM CHABAKE (GORI TERE PYAAR MEIN!) O ri chhori chichori/ O chhede hume chingam chabake/ Main bhi chhora chhichhora/ Chipak jaaun chumbak lagake Despite Shankar Mahadevans characteristic energy and Shalmali Kholgades punch, this song is too dull for any long-lasting effect.Though there is some attempt to revv up the song with beats and arrangements,it doesnt create the desired effect.Yes,it is a tad better than Tooh, but then, one has heard better from Vishal-Shekhar and this one fails to meet expectations.

TOOH (GORI TERE PYAAR MEIN!) O mehfil taan sajdi te hilte-dulte tooh/ Gore gore naughty-naughty round-round tooh/ Punjabiyan de tooh,Sharabiyan se tooh/ Gore gore nikke-nikke tere-mere tooh Sung by Mika Singh and composed by Vishal-Shekhar,its a cheeky number that celebrates the derriere quite unabashedly.Tooh (Punjabi for bum) may come across as a wacky track for a wedding dance party. But if you can overlook the butt obvious lyrics,it is otherwise a fun listen.

PSYCHO RE (ANY BODY CAN DANCE) Aye ratti pati, ratti pati, ratti pati, ratti pati/ Ratti pati ratti pati ratti ka pati rate pati ra... Aye yenna poda rascalla/ Arey yaar mere chal daru pila/ De liver tere ko gaali/ Daru buri cheez hai saali Mika strikes back once again with Udit Narayan in this track. However, its the lyrics and music that leave you breathless.Besides, the Punjabi meeting south Indian mix is intriguing too.A racy number,it surely adds masti to parties.
