The Hitter

wear it out on the fall session premier,

but be very wary of impostors, and
always note your surroundings, in case there's
a bust-up that needs your attention.

Cast on
using sport weight and what ever needle
you need to get 24(ish) spi,
• cast on 108 stitches.

the brim
work seven or eight inches of k2 p2 ribbing
(this allows for the fold over)
on the last round decrease three stitches
equidistant through the round. (105 stchs)

the chevron
• round 1: *K2tog, K5, m1, K1, m1, K5, ssk*

• Round 2: knit

• carry on the chevron for four inches or so.

Start the decreases

continue in pattern but where the chevron calls
for m1's just skip them.
(you'll decrease 14 stitches per round;
pretty drastic, but the pic is pretty drastic)
you'll also have to knit fewer between the
k2tog and ssk's

knit every other round on the decreases as before. and switch to dpns as you need.

carry on decreasing, until you only have the decreases left on your dpns
should be 14 stitches.

k2 tog all around to leave you with 7.

• if you want a round hat, break the yarn and pull through the remaining stitches.
• if you groove on the weird little pointy thing at the top,
knit another round plain then knit 2 tog again, to leave you with 4 stitches.
then break the yarn and pull through.
