Constitution of Think Tank for raising our legitimate demands before the 7th pay commission. Striving for a transparent transfer policy for the scientists and all the employees in ICAR. Improvement in the working conditions of the Labs and access to the suitable infrastructure and resources for the proper and timely execution of the research projects. Striving for a five day week on similar lines of ICAR HQs, CSIR and TNAU Striving for ICAR Academy on similar lines of ACSIR (Academy CSIR). Demand for the constitution of a Young Professionals Startup Research Grants and making it available on a competitive grants scheme to all the young (<40yrs) ARS professionals in ICAR. Do away with the illogical Score Card in the evaluation of the Scientists. Effective implementation of FOSS based ICT tools and infrastructure for bringing more efficiency, transparency in the day to day functioning of the Research and Administration. Creation of e-platforms for scientists to share their research outputs publicly. Capacity building in FOSS and other Open Technologies and Tools. More opportunities for the entry level of the ARS and regular annual recruitment of ARS scientists with a substantial number of vacancies. A separate recruitment scheme for the Post Doctoral Scientists working overseas on Agricultural Research for Development. Improvement in the Scientific : Technical : Supporting staff ratio. Computerization of the Service Records, official email ids to all the employees and adoption of e-governance. Centralized Pay Fixation to avoid anomalies. Demand for making Institutes and Residential Campus as wifi-campus with proper e-connectivity. Increasing the membership and making all the units function in coordination with all the zonal and CEC. Effective utilization of the Social Media for making a constant connection between the ARSSF Members. Setting up a dedicated website for the ARSSF with inbuilt discussion forums. Regular General Body Meetings/Conferences of the ARSSF, revitalization of the ARSSF News Letter and establishment of Discussion Forums for debating on the issues related to Agricultural Research and Development. Revisiting the bylaws and making provision for inclusion of all scientists who are retired and working elsewhere in deputation in the decision making process (voting rights?) to have connection with all the present and alumni of the ARSSF. Membership to the elected ARSSF Unit President in the Institute Management Committees. Invitation to the elected ARSSF CEC President to the Directors/VCs Conference and ICAR GB meetings as an invitee to place/raise the issues affecting the Scientists. Quarterly meeting of the ARSSF CEC with the ICAR HQs officials including (ASRB/DDGs/ADGs/Directors HQs). Regular e-meetings/connectivity with the ARSSF Units and spread across the Country and regular with CEC/NEC. Making all the ARSSF accounts/auditing transparent and public. Regular meetings/conferences of the ARSSF Units in the Zones under the Leadership of the Vice Presidents. Making the ARSSF more visible and active (local and global). Participation in all the policy issues related to Agricultural Research, Farmers and other Agrarian issues in the Country.
