What Is EduTrek?

a comprehensive college search tool

A free college database and matching service The Internets largest database of post-secondary education opportunities and institutions A directory of universities, colleges, career/trade schools, online schools, certification/licensure/apprenticeship programs, and more

EduTrek was created to match prospective college students with schools in a neutral and comprehensive way. To make this goal a reality we have spent years building the Internet's largest database of postsecondary educational institutions. Our database is comprehensive because it includes everything from universities and community colleges to certification and apprenticeship programs. Our services are neutral because we dont push prospective students to specific schools or programs; we want students to make a smart, informed decision regarding their future.

We believe a students future begins with smart decision-making regarding their education. Our mission is to provide prospective students with the information they need about post-secondary education opportunities so they can find the best school for their needs and situation. We want students to find employment after their education is complete, so we try to help inform students about which educational pursuits usually lead to employment.

EduTreks College MatchMaker: a free college matching service

This service allows you to get matched to any school in our database based on your preferences. The MatchMaker will ask questions about you and your interests, and then it will return with a list of schools that match your criteria. You can narrow or broaden your matching criteria at any time.

Why EduTrek? a comparison of college search tools

If you, your child, or a friend needs help finding a school, we recommend EduTrek. Using the right college search service can make a huge difference in the quality of education you receive, and it can impact the amount of student loan debt after you graduate. If a service directs you to a four-year degree with a major university, when all you need is a two-year certificate to get started in the career you want, then you end up paying two or three times more in tuition. You also end up spending twice as much time acquiring your education. Worse than sending you to a major university when you dont need a four-year degree, some services try to get students to attend for-profit colleges without consideration for what is in their best interest. For some students and degree programs, for-profit schools make sense, but for others it may not. At EduTrek, we want you to make the best decision for you. We spent several years getting EduTrek ready for you to use. We built a massive database of every degree option available, so you can find what works for you. Unlike many lazy database managers who never correct information manually, we have a team manually reviewing each school for accuracy and inputting school catalogs. Looking over each services index, EduTrek is the clear choice.
