Its hard to believe that January 21st was our fouryear anniversary of serving in Cambodia! Gods grace through
your prayers has been abundantly evident as He gives us strength for each day. One of the greatest joys of being on the field is getting to see God raise up men for service in the harvest. One such man is Bora Chheang. I first met Bora back in 2003, when he was 14 years old. Bora had a very difficult past. His father died when he was around seven, and then his mother abandoned him shortly after. He lived in a small shack for two years by himself before being taken to a Christian orphanage by his aunt. I grew to know Bora over the years, and had the privilege of baptizing him. In 2007, he was sponsored to complete high-school in the States and then attend The Masters College. After graduating, Bora came back to Cambodia and joined our translation staff. It has been a joy to have him on staff and especially to help him publish his first book in Khmer, A Brief Introduction to the Bible. This is the first
book originating from a Cambodian author that ACTION Cambodia has printed. We are excited to see how the Lord will use this resource. Bora writes: This book is really an accumulation of my Sunday day school notes put together. This book talks briefly on each book of the Bible about the author, date of authorship, summary, book outline, suggested verse for meditation and memorization, application and pictures. I wrote this book because there are not very many Biblical resources in the Khmer language for the church, and also I hope that this book will contribute to the growth and strengthening of the church. I hope through the reading of this book, my fellow countrymen, who are Christians, will have a passion to want to read the Word of God even more and for those who have not accepted Jesus as LORD and Savior yet, I hope through the reading of this book, they will see their sins and turn to Jesus. Its through your support that resources like this one are getting into the hands of Cambodians. Thank you for your generosity and for your prayers! Because He lives,
