Voting Guidelines
Any registered voter whose primary residence is within the boundaries of Hallettsville ISD is eligible to vote. For voters that are not already registered, you may become a registered voter by having your voter registration card post-marked no later than Thursday, April 10, 2014.

BOND PROPOSITION $11,630,000


The bond would make available funds to establish new facilities at HISD. The facilities being considered are on the Elementary campus and Junior High School campus and are outlined below. The proposed project is aligned with HISDs Strategic Planning goals.

Once you receive an over-65 homestead exemption, you receive a tax ceiling for that home on your total school taxes. The tax ceiling is the amount you pay in the year that you qualify for the over-65 homeowner exemption and cannot generally increase as long as you live in that home. How would this effect ME? The HISD tax rate would increase $0.1300 from the current $1.1027 to $1.2327
