Like how the Gutenberg press worked in history, the micro-press concept will work for you and

your group. In my case, I have an Epson printer, an NX510 which everybody says is CRAP, but, one persons garbage is anothers gold. Since I am stuck starting with an Epson (which is not a bad choice considering how much people hate them and toss them out), I am targeting them as a specific group of printers suitable for this task. Our first problem of ink being too expensive is solved using a CISS system, one such as: http://www.printersinkandmore.com/servlet/the-510/Continuous-Bulk-Ink-CIS/Detail I had done some digging around and had noticed that this is by far the best priced place unless you plan on buying 100,000 of them (which would be $5 a piece if done that way). So I have ordered one, and by my estimates if I do not switch the printer on and off much and just print in as continuous of a run as possible, I can obtain 340 full color pages per 40ml. And by that measurement 3,400 pages for the ink that comes with this $52 total landed cost system. Because the HST would be under $5, there are no charges nor issues with customs, which is nice to avoid as the process tends to be tedious as monopolies like UPS insist on making things difficult in order to force people into just using their $73 brokerage fee services (how ridiculous!). MORE PROBLEMS: A few weeks ago before our occupy solutions rally in Victoria, one of our members had mentioned running out of ink. The cost of a replacement cartridge was $45. How draining! I immediately knew about the issue and recommended Island Inkjet, and was pleased when he came back with a price of $23 ok that was better! Wrong. Supposedly these carts came with more ink than the manufacturers carts but only had managed to print 33 pages. What a waste of money! This is a situation that seems to be unfolding similarly for all of our members! MORE OF THE SOLUTION: This coming movie screening of Genetic Roulette is setting us up for a position on GMOs that clearly defines that high density urban living centers are the last thing a society needs while under a food security threat as substantial and substantiated as are GMOs. We need posters, but everybody is still hurting from the last event, having to dig into their own pockets to get this stuff to work out as much as possible. I do the same and spend everything I can manage on it. But where I differ is that Id rather spend it on ways of making our group more effective and efficient, or even more self-sufficient so that engaging in activism isnt so wearing on people economically. I priced out bulk ink and found some for $330 for a gallon of each of the four needed colors. Now we are talkin! 18,000ml of ink by the previous calculation could do 45 times the initial volume. For an estimated total of 153,000 811 single sided pages. Or .22 cents per page! The cost of paper is roughly $40 per 5,000 sheets though for better quality paper expect to pay more, double or perhaps triple! Using the lowest value however which is of whatever-is-on-sale from staples, we can obtain a per sheet cost of a penny per sheet (considering theres taxes on that $40). This means that our $20 color photocopying at staples which originally is 40 sheets, all of a sudden turns into 2,000 sheets. This provides a 50-fold increase at a nominal expense, which will pay for itself over a very short period of time. Speed and capability will be increased with investment into more printers, which can possibly be obtained free (and frequently) from a dumpster near you. Given the doubling of capacity for the low cost of another $52 + free dumpster printer, one can envision a printing farm with a print server managing operations.

FUTURE PROBLEM AND SOLUTION: The ink pad issue arises and disables a printer. This is called the WIC issue, WIC meaning Waste Ink Counter. It is there to force you to get the printer serviced for more than what it is worth, in order to stop ink from spilling out of the bottom of the printer. Most manufacturers do not like people servicing their own printers, and therefore have ensured it is more economical to toss them out rather than enable people to fix the problem. Besides that, at $20 x 4 for a 320 page print run (as Epson has their carts sold at), the cost of a new printer would be negligible compared to what you would have had to spend on the ink. There exists a solution to this problem as well, I have WIC resetting software for all Epson printers and there is no money-milker like purchasing keys, just free software from a hacker that is specific to each model. So the WIC reset for the NX510 is now no longer a problem, this solves most of the headaches associated with these printers excluding regular wear and tear. The fact that I arbitrarily had an Epson and people typically arent fond of them means they get junk binned a lot, sell for less and more often, and will guarantee a reliable supply of cheap replacement parts. CONCLUSION: While there may be anal legal requirements for public access television shows, or for putting video on TV and while there may be the same issues with radio. Whereas the Internet and various services may be setup to be politically subversive, print is by far the most reliable means of getting the message out there. Solving this dilemma may be one of the best ways with which to boost morale and increase community involvement with your group. I am planning on writing a more researched article in the future called The Pillars of Successful Revolution and Political Resistance. This is one of those pillars. Any truthers out there feel free to message me for help in defeating these union and government (soros NGO) backed shills!
