Thank you for all the wonderful comments.

I see I have some new readers! Yay. :] Please…no silent readers.

I feel I’m rushing things in this fanfic…but there’s not much more to the story.
There’s just some ending drama, so I’m starting to write the ending and everything.
I think this chapter was a little rushed though. Kind of rusty…so I apologize if this
chapter isn’t as good. =/

ling91: You’re been added onto the PM list. :] Hope you enjoy the rest of the story.

Chapter 54

Yoochun’s POV
NEXT MORNING

“ Bum bu thum…bu thum thum thum…bu thum..bu thum thum thum…’ I sang a happy
tune to myself as I opened my bedroom door.
I stopped in front of my door as I saw Jaejoong hastily sweeping the floor, an apron on
and a bandana on his head. He circled around the hard ground with a wet towel, cleaning
the floor with water and soap.
“ Hyung?” I asked confused.
He looked up from cleaning. “ Yea?”
“ What are you doing?” I asked curiously, sitting down on the floor.
“ HEY!” he slapped my knee and pulled me off of the ground. “ I CLEANED THAT
PLACE!” He bellowed.
“ Jeez…” I replied, rubbing my knee.
“ Haha, sorry about that.” he changed his tone of voice into a sweet one. “ What can I do
for you?”
“ Nothing, I was just telling you I was going out.” I replied, half scared that he’ll yell
once again.
“ I see.” He replied, picking up his towel.
“ Is everyone still sleeping?” I asked after gulping down some coffee.
“ Yea, I’ll wake them up.”
“ Okay then.”

I heard another bedroom door open a crack. “ Yoochun Hyung?” I heard a sleepy voice
call out of the room.
“ Changminah? You awake?” I asked. I made my way over to his door. I saw his weary
face pop out.
“ Yea, I heard Jaejoong Hyung yell at you.” He replied, his hair scuffled, and his eye
barely open.
“ Yea.” I replied.
“ Where are you going?” He rubbed his eyes.
“ Out to get fresh air before practice. You wanna come?” I offered.
“ Sure.” He brightened up. Closing the door, he went in to get ready. After two short
minutes, he came bustling out with his sunglasses. “ Okay, I’m good.”
“ Have fun.” Jaejoong said with a smile.
“ Yea will do.” I grabbed a beanie before opening the apartment door. Slowly making our
way down the apartment, I asked. “ Where do you wanna go?”
He shrugged. “ I’m not sure, anywhere I guess.”

We left the apartment’s gates and walked down the street.

“ Have you talked to Minkyong yet?” I asked, looking over at him.
Changmin kicked a nearby rock and sent it flying down the sidewalk in front of us. He
paused before replying.
“ I saw her yesterday…at the library.” He replied softly.
“ So…” I said.
“ I couldn’t ask her.” He said.
I looked over at him, his head hung low. “ What? Why?” I asked in disbelief.
He looked up at me. “ She looked…finally…at peace. For the first time in a while. I
mean…I didn’t want to ruin it, you know? At least…not until later.”
“ Changminah…it’s going to be WORSE later!” I stated, slightly speechless.
“ But…I couldn’t bring myself to say it. It’s harder than it looks.” Changmin complained.
He pulled down his beanie more towards his face.
“ Fine fine…then what now? When are you planning to ask her? A year later?” I asked
impatiently.
“ I don’t even know what I’m going to ask her! I just have a bunch of questions rolling
through my head and I don’t know how to ask her! I’m not sure if she likes me, or if
she’s still not over her ex, or if…or if…AHH!”
I stopped walking and turned to face him.

“ Changminah…ask her.” I held him by the shoulders and shook him.

“ How?” His head bobbed up and down.
I let go and sighed.
“ You’re hopeless.” I began to walk away as I shook my head.
“ Wait! Hyung! Stop!” I heard Changmin run after me.

Minkyong’s POV

“ Thank you for the breakfast.” I grabbed another toast before running upstairs to my
room. Sitting down on my bed, I opened a book I borrowed from the library the previous
night, onto my bed. Taking out my bookmark, I began to read.
As I moved my eyes across the book, I couldn’t help but think about something else.
Another thought tugged at the back of my head, making it difficult for me to read.
Ignoring the question, I continued to read, but ended up reading the same sentence ten
times.

“ Erg…” I closed the book and leaned against the wall behind me. “ What’s wrong with
me today…” I rubbed my forehead as I looked up at my ceiling, carefully pondering
about what was bothering me.
I lifted my head off the wall and stared at the opposite wall.
“ Changmin…that’s what’s bothering me.” I answered myself. I stood up from my bed
and walked over to my bathroom.
After splashing my face with cold water several times, I dried off and tied my hair up into
a high ponytail. I looked at myself in the mirror.

‘ Wow Minkyong…you’ve changed a lot during the last several months…’

Walking over to my chair, I dropped down into it.

‘ It felt nice to have a normal conversation with Changmin yesterday…’

I smiled at the thought. Our conversation was totally random, but extremely interesting. It
felt like I could talk to him forever. I felt so comfortable when with him, almost like how
I felt with Yungjoon.

‘ Almost like Yungjoon…not quite…’

I surprised myself. Normally, when I thought about Yungjoon, I would’ve shivered,

sighed, or sometimes cry, but I had no reaction now. I sat there quietly thinking to
myself.
‘ Does this mean…that I’m…starting to move on?’

“ AHHH! I don’t know.” I hit myself in the head.

Changmin’s POV

Yoochun Hyung and I entered the café. While Yoochun ordered, I walked over to a seat
next to the window. Taking a morning newspaper from the rack, I sat down and began to
read.
“ Changmin Oppa?” I heard a familiar voice whisper over to me.
I looked up at saw Haein’s face glowing back at me, sitting at the table in front of me.
“ Haein?”

The thought of Haein somewhat interfering in Minkyong and my relationship hit my head
abruptly. Anger began to rise as she bounced over to the seat across from me.
“ Oppa! Nice to see you. How are you?” She leaned in and rested her chin on her hands.
I held in a scoff. Instead, I cleared my throat, too upset to talk
I saw Haein’s expression change. “ Oppa?” She asked once more.
I tried to avoid her eyes by looking off towards the counter where Yoochun was too busy
ordering food. He seemed to be arguing with himself about what to buy.
“ Oppa?” This time, her voice was slightly more serious. “ Oppa?!”
I looked over at her. “ Yes?”
Haein set her hands down on the table. “ What’s wrong?” Her sweet tone of voice
seemed forced.
“ Nothing.” I replied simply.
Her ‘sweet’ personality suddenly switched. I could see her cheeks turning slightly red.
She paused for a moment, brushing her hair away from her face. She pressed her lips
together tightly before speaking.
“ Changmin Oppa, I know you well enough, okay? Don’t act like this and just tell me
what’s wrong.”

I stared at her in disbelief. Opening my mouth to say something, I stopped when

Yoochun walked over with a tray of food. He stood frozen in front of the table, looking
shocked. After a moment, he placed down the tray of food and brought over another chair
to sit in.
He looked back at Haein and me, listening to the awkward silence and me. He cleared his
throat. “ Um…”
Haein ignored Yoochun Hyung. As I looked out the window randomly, I felt someone
grab my arm. I looked down and saw Haein’s hand placed on my arm.
Disgusted, I pulled her hand off of me. “ Haein, do you not know what’s wrong?” I didn’t
exactly mean to use such a forced, cold tone, but it came out that way.

She looked taken back. “ What?”

“ I said, do you not know why I’m mad at you?” I repeated, clenching my jaw.
“ Oppa.” She said in disbelief.
Yoochun took a bite of his morning sandwich and silently began to eat.
“ Oppa, I don’t understand.” Haein continued.

I stared at her. I felt hatred rushing through my body as Haein’s fake mask of innocence
looked back at me. She looked at me intently, so confident in herself. I couldn’t help but
feel upset and angry with her. She made things worse for Minkyong and me, and that just
made me even more upset. I didn’t expect such low actions from her before.
I couldn’t take it anymore.
“ Have you been talking to Minkyong lately?” I asked simply.

Haein stopped staring intently. Her eyes became slightly soft and showed a small speck
of fear in them. “ Wha…Wh…What?” She stuttered.
“ Have you been talking to Minkyong lately? Anytime recently?” I asked again softly.
“ Wh…What are…What are you talking about?” She glared at the table below her, her
breaths becoming heavier.
There was a short moment of silence. After couple minutes, Haein spoke once more.
She looked up at me. I saw her face grow redder. “ Why? Did Minkyong say something?”
She asked in an upset tone. Her voice seemed to grow more forceful after each word.

I stared back at her. “ So…you have?” I didn’t answer back.

“ So what? So what if I have? Is that a crime? I just wanted to talk to her.” She replied.
Yoochun laughed beside us. Yoochun looked over at Haein. “ Really? Is that what you
were doing? Just talking to her?”
I looked questioningly over at Yoochun who seemed to be having fun with this
conversation. When I looked back at Haein, she was sending death glares over to him.
Yoochun continued.
“ That one day, at the coffee shop. I overheard you and Minkyong talking. It wasn’t just
about, random girl talk, it was about Changmin.”

‘ What? Me?’

I looked at Haein. “ What?”

She looked like she was about to explode at Yoochun. Her face was flushed, eyes flared,
and lips pursed together. She seemed too hesitant to talk, but she stood up. Standing up
from her seat, she pointed down at Yoochun. She pressed a finger against his chest
causing him to lean back further into his chair.
“ Whoa there.” I stood up too.
“ What would YOU know? You didn’t hear the whole conversation!” She yelled
dramatically.
Yoochun chuckled softly. “ Don’t worry. I heard enough.”
Haein yelled with frustration. Grabbing her purse, she barged out of the store’s door.
Yoochun called over an employee. “ Could you pack these for us?”

I sat back down. My head were once again filled with questions. My mind was so blurred
from everything, it was hard to even think straight.
“ Come on man.” Yoochun patted me on the back. He had the breakfast sandwiches and
drinks all packed up.

“ Okay.” I stood up. “ Wait…explain to me what Haein and Minkyong were talking
about that one day you were talking about just now.” I pointed to him.
“ Okay okay. Let’s get home first.”

Haein’s POV

I slammed down my purse onto my bedroom floor. Walking into the bathroom, I threw
my makeup bag onto the ground and thrust the hairpin container out of the door.

“ So…Park Minkyong told him? She TOLD him that I was telling her that? Ha…”

I sighed as I watched myself venting out at the mirror. Rubbing my temples, I walked
back out into my room and collapsed onto my bed. I put the strands of hair off of my face
and glanced around my room.
“ How long is this going to take…”

I listened to the quiet stillness of my room. I kicked off my slippers and let them fall onto
the ground. Sitting up, I stared out of my bedroom window.
‘ Park Minkyong…this isn’t over…’

For the rest of the day, the conversation I had earlier with Changmin repeated through my
mind. I spent the night thinking about what I was going to do next.
Changmin’s POV

“ She said what?” I dropped my spoon into the ice cream bowl. “ Wait…let me think. She
said…she said she wanted to spend more time with me?”

Yoochun put down his spoon into his bowl. “ Yea. But she said it more…how do you say
it…uh…. purposefully.” He added.
I raised an eyebrow. “ I don’t get it. She said it…like…she was purposefully trying to
make a point to Minkyong?” I asked.

Yoochun brightened up. “ YEA! That’s what I’m saying. It’s like…she wanted to say
something to Minkyong but didn’t want to exactly say it out loud…like…a secret kind of
way…” He continued on.

I buried my head in my hands. I looked back up at him. “ You’re making no sense.” I

replied, tired.

Yoochun gulped down his soda. “ Let me repeat then.”

I held up my hand. “ No…it’s fine.”
“ No. LET ME EXPLAIN!” Yoochun looked me right in the eye. “ She said that since
she’s just gotten back from traveling, she wanted to spend more time with you.” He
repeated slowly.

I nodded. “ So…”
“ Have you thought about this? Why would Haein bring up the subject about you in front
of Minkyong, right?” he asked.
I nodded again. “ Yea…”
“ So that means…she likes you…right?” He asked once more.
I nodded once again. “ I guess so…well…that’s what Heejin, Minkyong’s friend, said
last time, right? That Haein was making things difficult for Minkyong.” I replied.

Yoochun nodded. “ Exactly.” He leaned back into the couch. “ But Minkyong’s friend
said that they met and talked to each other couple times. So…then…they probably met
up sometime other than that too…”

I stared blankly at my empty bowl. “ What could Haein have possibly said to her that was
mean? I mean…how bad could it be? You know? I’ve known Haein since she was
little…”

“ Changminah…she left to travel around the world when she was little! She was gone for
like…THOUSANDS of years! She could’ve changed between then and now. So
technically, you haven’t known her THAT long. People change…” Yoochun took
another bite of ice cream.

I sat back into the couch and sighed. “ What do I do now? Do I talk to her?”
“ I say…confront Minkyong…ask her some questions…settle this…and move on.” He
replied simply.

“ It sounds easy…but…I’m afraid to try.” I said.

I looked back at Yoochun who was happily licking the ice cream off of his spoon.

‘ What does it take for all this to just…disappear?’
