Patterns allow us to make connections, predictions and solve problems.

Can identifying a pattern allow us to draw conclusions from it? How can words, tables, graphs and rules helps us to analyse and represent patterns? What do we know about working in a group that can help us with this problem?

Goal - to predict the height of the Giant of Jeju as accurately as possible. Role - a genetic scientist investigating patterns of height. Audience - You will be presenting your findings to the G5 teachers. Situation - The Global Education City discovered this handprint when they were building one of the
new schools in the area. The officers at City Hall are trying to find out as much information as possible about this giant and have asked you for help.

Product - You need to show display your findings in the way that you think is most appropriate. You
must be able to provide a reason for your answers.

Standards - A successful group will: include an answer that has supporting reasons; display their
information clearly displayed in words, tables, graphs or rules; cooperate effectively as a group.
