1 GETTING STARTED
For mobile !honeTools to operate properly" please verify the followin#$
A !C with a !entium+ II ,-- MH. computer connected to your mobile phone.
One available /'0 port.
Local hard drive with ,1M0 free space.
Mobile phone 2'AM0A33&435 which is compatible with mobile !honeTools
software.
6ata&fa7 option included in the subscription contract with your cell phone
operator 2to allow fa7 and e8mails transmission and reception5.
Hi#h speed data networ(s 2$!9'5 options included in the subscription
contract with your mobile phone operator 2for hi#h speed e8mail and Internet
use on the mobile phone networ(5: data service is a networ( and subscription
dependant feature that may not be available in all areas. !lease contact
your wireless service provider for details.

1.1 Installing the evaluation software on a Laptop
computer running Windows XP
The mobile !honeTools is a software that enables you to ma%e different confi#urations
for &M&" 'ata" Fa( calls as well G!)& connections to the internet *ith mobile
!honeTools you can share the information contained in your mobile phone with your
computer Once your mobile phone is connected to your computer" the followin#
operations can be easily processed$ send and receive e-mails and &M&+ synchroni,e
your phoneboo%s and calendars+ load" create and modify rin# tones for your mobile
phone+ launch a G!)& session and internet connection" etc
The software-s help file can be found after the software installation on its install directory
or you can access it from the application main window 'urin# the installation of the
Mobile !honeTools software" please" follow the on-screen instructions
Insert the C689OM into your computer?s C6 drive a HTML pa#e will
automatically open. Clic( on the lin( named So$t%a&e on the left side of the
appeared pa#e. 'tart the installation of the mobile !honeTools software by
clic(in# on ).R- So$t%a&e I!"ta##e& /e0e1 lin(. On the appeared screen select
the desired lan#ua#e by clic(in# on the correspondin# country fla# then
clic( I!"ta## mob#e -ho!eToo# button. 'ee fi#ure below. 'ome steps are not
described in this document you have to follow the on8screen instructions.

The software starts to install the re"uested operations.

=hen setup has finished the installation of mobile !honeTools software on
your !C and it re"uests you to finish the installation please select the chec(
bo7 3Automat'a##4 &u! mob#e -ho!eToo#"5 and then clic( F!"h button to
complete the installation.
The software is waitin# for modem connection to the !C.
)ow you *ust insert the 'AM0A33 'AM0A43 or 'AM0A43i modem into one of
your computer?s !C&laptop /'0 slots. The modem will automatically be
switched on when you insert the phone in the /'0 slot of your computer. The
software will automatically detect the modem and starts to search their
drivers. The modem is then active and the middle L@6 labelled )ERR* li#hts.

The insertion of the modem should tri##er a feature of =indows called A!lu#
and !layA which launches the Fou!, Ne% Ha&,%a&e wi.ard. The wi.ard
displays a messa#e indicatin# that it will search for a driver for the Fa#'om
SAM)A55*+5*+5.
)ow you *ust insert the 'AM0A33 'AM0A43 or 'AM0A43i modem into one of
your computer?s !C&laptop /'0 slots. The modem will automatically be
switched on when you insert the modem in the /'0 slot of your computer. The
software will automatically detect the modem and starts to search their
drivers. The modem is then active and the middle L@6 labelled )ERR* li#hts.

and !layA which launches the Fou!, Ne% Ha&,%a&e wi.ard. The wi.ard
displays a messa#e indicatin# that it will search for a driver for the Fa#'om

CAUTION 8 /se caution when insertin# the 'AM0A33&43&43i into the
/'0 slot. Forcin# the modem may dama#e the connector pins. If you
feel resistance while insertin# the modem into the /'0 slot of your
computer remove it immediately and chec( for any dama#e of its
connector or bend pins.
Additionally the 'tatus L@6 labelled )ERR* will always flash durin# the
internal initiali.ation. This effect will happen after the correspondin# drivers
are installed. After internal initiali.ation is implemented 2appro7. -83 sec.5 the
'tatus L@6 labelled )ERR* will be turned off. After a few seconds and after
the user has entered the !I) number 2if needed5 the $'M L@6 will start
flashin# slowly 2which means the re#istration into the networ( is
successfully5

The re"uest of !I) code dialo# bo7 will be automatically started. @nter a
correct !I) code which you have #ot from your operator. The enterin# of !I)
code enables the modem to re#ister itself into the $'M networ( and also
enables the user of 'AM0A43&43i a full access into the $'M&$!9'&@6$@
functionalities. 6ependin# on the mobile phone you?re usin# 2'AM0A33
'AM0A43 or 'AM0A43i5 the application interface will vary accordin#ly.
)ow you can use the modem accordin# to your re"uirements. Clic( He#2
icon on the main screen to #et more information about usin# this
communication software. This software #ives you a comprehensive overview
as well as an easy and "uic(ly way to start up re"uired user application or
access to the Internet services.
