Date: October 13th Level: First graders

Expected Outcomes: Students will be able to know some daily routines. Besides , they will be able to
use “s”, “es”, or “ies” at the end of a verb in third person singular. Moreover, they will identify some
verbs and they will use don’t or doesn’t according to the pronoun.

20’ On the board I will write some keywords; for example:
Everyday, very often, usually, always, hardly ever, and
never. I will write the meaning of them.
Afterwards, I will show them some flashcards. They will
have to tell me the verb related to the picture; and then,
they will describe the pictures using the keywords. I will
write the complete sentences on the board (especially the
verbs in order they can realize when they have to add “s”
at the end of a verb).
25’
I will ask a couple of students some questions. According
to their answers (especially negative answers), I will say
them in English; for example: He doesn’t have a baby. I
will do it with the rest of the pronouns in order that they
can realize when they have to say don’t or doesn’t.
Afterwards, I will ask them, if they have discovered
something.
15’ I will explain do not/ don’t and does not/ doesn’t.
