Pastoral Care Worker: St John of God Hospital (WBool) is seeking to appoint a
suitably qualified Pastoral Practitioner to join their Pastoral Services Team to minister
to the spiritual and emotional well-being of patients, families and caregivers. Further

Update: It was hoped we could report on Fr Johns operation. Unfortunately, due to
unforseen circumstances the operation was cancelled at the last minute.

E-Conference: St Josephs Hall Tuesday, 10.00am - 3.00pm. Focus: Pope Francis
Modelling the Ministry of Peter. More information regarding the program for the
day is in the Gathering Space. Please bring a plate for shared lunch. All welcome.

Sexual Abuse in the Catholic Church: During Prof Caroline Taylors workshop
this week it was suggested the community may like to form a group to follow
through with strategies that would channel the feelings resulting from sexual abuse
into positive and empowering actions. If interested in being involved please contact
the Parish Office.

Sunday Assemblies of the Word with Communion: Thank you to those who
attended the Formation Meeting on 4th May in regard to planning should there be a
need for an emergency Sunday Assembly at St Josephs. Strategies are now in place
and resources to assist leaders are readily available in the sacristy. (Liturgy Ctte)

Celebrating Christian Unity: You are invited to the Uniting Church on Thursday,
12th June for a shared meal at 6.00pm followed by shared prayer at 7.00pm.

Clinical Pastoral Education: St John of God Hospital Geelong will be offering a
unit of study in CPE in 2015. In preparation, a Taste and See session will be held at
the hospital on Thursday, 26th June 1.00 to 2.30pm. Come along and learn more
about the CPE journey, process and what is required. To register or for more

Warrnambool Region Social Justice Group: The groups objectives, based on a
spirituality of nonviolence, aim to: identify and raise the consciousness in our
community of social justice issues. We welcome new members. The group meets on
the second Wednesday of every month is St Josephs Meeting room at 7.30pm. Next
meeting 11th June. See Gathering Space for more information or enquire at the
Parish Office.

Pope Francis saysInstead of being just a church that welcomes and receives
by keeping the doors open, let us try also to be a church that finds new roads, that is
able to step outside itself and go to those who do not attend Mass, to those who have
quit or are different..
