RECYCLING COLLECTION SCHEDULE

Recycling bins are collected every other week on your regular trash collection day. All A Weeks are collected during
weeks highlighted on calendar below. All B Weeks are collected during boxed weeks .

YARD WASTE COLLECTION SCHEDULE
Curbside collection of yard waste will also follow this recycling schedule from April - Mid-December, weather permitting.
HOLIDAY SCHEDULE
Whenever a scheduled day falls on a holiday, or collection is cancelled because of bad weather,
that days collection will be picked up on the following Saturday. Holidays are circled.
Christmas trees will be collected the first two weeks of January on your regular recycle day.

Drop-off recycling may be dropped off at Bondis Island Landfill, Agawam, Rte 5 M-F, 7:30-3:15.
p Paperbacks & phone books
p Junk mail windowed envelopes are OK.
p Boxboard cereal, shoe, cracker boxes, etc.
No waxed paper.
p Newspapers/ inserts, magazines/catalogs
p Brown paper bags
p White and colored paper
p Computer paper
p Corrugated cardboard Flatten, tie in 3x3
bundles, no tape. No waxed cardboard.
p Shredder paper place in paper bags
p All paper and cardboard must be clean & dry.
p No soda or beer holders.
p No plastic grocery/newspaper bags
p Glass bottles/jars, all colors and sizes
Please remove and discard all caps. No
broken or other glass such as light
bulbs, window or auto glass, dishes,
glasses, Pyrex, ceramics.
p Aluminum, tin/steel cans and lids,
aerosol cans and aluminum foil
No paint or or other metal items.
p All plastic bottles, jars, tubs and plastic
microwave trays/containers No plastic
bags, containers over 2 gal., motor oil,
chemical or foam containers or flower pots.
p Milk & juice cartons (tent top), drink
boxes Place in bin with other containers.

Residential Yard Waste Drop Off at Bondis Island Landfill, Agawam, Rte 5
Mon-Fri, 7:30am-3:15pm (Some Saturdays - call 413-787-7840 for schedule)
You no longer need to separate paper and containers! Continue to rinse containers.
