NASHVILLE, Tenn., October 27, 2012- Tonight Taylor Swift announced the launch of her 2013 North American Red Tour in support of her smash new album Red. The announcement was made during a partnership with ABC News on tonights primetime TV special All Access Nashville with Katie Couric- A Special Edition of 20/20. Red was released earlier this week and has already sold over 1 million copies.
The 2013 RED Tour is going to feature 58 shows in 45 cities in 29 states and 2 provinces. The tour will begin in Omaha, Nebraska on March 13 th , and continue on until its last stop in Nashville, Tennessee in September. Singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran will open all the shows on this tour.
I was really excited for the release of my new album. But now that its out I couldnt be more excited about the RED Tour, and putting a brand new show together, says Taylor. I have so many ideas for the show and really making it all worthwhile for my fans. Because at the end of the day I am here because of them, so I want to give them a show that will truly amaze and entertain them in all ways possible.
Taylors RED Tour is geared to be one of the most-anticipated tours and musical events of 2013.
