The Institute has been awarded A grade by the
Government of Maharashtra (India). The
Institute is an ISO 9001:2008 certified institute.
The Institute has well-equipped laboratories
with ultra modern facilities supported by highly
qualified teaching faculty in all branches
catered to by the institute. The Central Library
is furnished with reference books, text books,
national and international journals and internet
facility as a part of informal teaching. DYPIET
was the first institute to be selected by Wipro
Mission 10X for Deeper Engagement.
The Institute is the first Elite member and
received Unified Teaching Learning Kits
(UTLK) developed by Wipro Technologies.
Also the first Mission 10X Learning Resource
Centre has been established in the institute.
DYPIET is a consortium member of Indo-US
Collaboration in Engineering Education
(IUCEE) and International Federation for
Engineering Education (IFEES).
About Department
Civil engineering is the oldest engineering
discipline, is being offered at this institute from
the academic year July 2010. This department
is endowed with a high caliber, dedicated, well
qualified and experienced team of
professionally inclined faculty. Currently
various laboratories are being developed with
the state of art technology to impart the advance
knowledge to our students. To sustain global
competition, innovative techniques will be
utilized to expose the students to the latest
trends and practices in the construction industry
through various activities like site visits,
seminars by experts from fields and technical
projects.



Preamble
With the prudent guidance of Dean Prof. G. K.
Kharate, Faculty of Engineering, University of Pune and
under the aegis of Board of Studies (Civil Engineering)
University of Pune, CIVIL PGCON-2014-The
Conference of Papers based on M.E.(Civil
Engineering) Final Year Projects is organized first
time. This conference will be hosted by one of the
Engineering Colleges running P.G. programme under
Pune University, every year. This conference is
arranged with an objective of providing a platform for
the Post Graduate students in civil engineering to
present papers on their dissertation work. This will
facilitate the students to share their work with fellow
students .This will also, facilitate to develop the quality
of projects. The conference will be compulsory for M.
E. second year students.
B.O.S.members, HODs, M. E. Coordinators, Project
Guides, sponsored delegates from various colleges, and
experts form academic institutions and industries will
grace the occasion and contribute for the success of the
conference.
The paper and poster presentations of project work done
by students will be held in parallel sessions for
Structural Engineering, Construction Management,
Hydraulics, Environmental Engineering, Environmental
and Water Resources Engineering and Geotechnical
Engineering.The attendance and registration for
presentation of paper / poster for final year students
of M.E.is compulsory.
About Institute
Padmashree Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Engineering &
Technology, Pimpri, Pune was founded in 1998. The
Institute is situated in the vicinity of Pimpri Chinchwad
industrial belt, which is one of the biggest industrial
belts in Asia. All the eligible programmes have been
accredited by the National Board of Accreditation
(NBA).
