Production Planning Engineer
Duties and Responsibilities

1. Perform responsible and complex short and long-term planning activities such
as, collect, Research, analyze and summarize relevant data.
2. Plan, and coordinate multiple production activities; organize and employ
resources to achieve objectives and required production levels in the most cost
effective manner.
3. Draw up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each project.
4. Direct and implement the development of departmental goals.
5. Monitor work flow; review and evaluate production activities and tasks. Review
operations with concerned staff to resolve production bottlenecks or processing
problems. Provide recommendation regarding associated procedures to QA
department in order to implement changes as appropriate.
6. Monitor the production control program, work activities and work schedules.
Recommend and Implement relevant changes as appropriate and finally present
status on regular basis.
7. Determine the status of assigned production activities; expedite operations that
delay schedules in concerned departments and alter schedules to meet
unforeseen conditions.
8. Coordinate with Commercial department to set forecast plans and projects
priority and communicate such priorities to all concerned departments.
9. Participate in the work scope meetings with type Engineers and other
departments
10. Coordinate various departments activities with each other in order to achieve
planning and Scheduling plans and targets.
11. Evaluate planning department need for resources (staff, equipment, materials,
and supplies) with concerned management personnel.
12. Provide general guidance to planning department employees and coordinate all
issues needing upper management approval or the planning policy for the
department.
13. Monitor inventory control processes such as material movement and usage by
verifying and revising shortage lists and actual need versus availability in
company stores. Henceforth request for rectifying purchase orders accordingly.
Recommend local purchase of material and tools as appropriate.
14. In coordination with Commercial department review production schedules to
make recommendation regarding inventory levels, manpower requirements,
work procedures and shifting assignments within budgetary limitations, time
constraints, and forecasted plans.
15. Monitor preventive maintenance plans in cooperation with facility maintenance
as set by machine/tool manufacturer and coordinate possible solutions to avoid
any delays or deviations from schedule.
16. Perform capacity planning to determine if the resources available in the
organization are sufficient to meet demand. Resources such as labor and space
are some of the areas factored into capacity planning.
17. Run a series of inventory reports and perform visual validation of received
merchandise to description and package details from original purchase order as
needed.
18. Perform in a manner consistent with company Vision, Mission, statement and
operating principles.
19. Monitor work flow using Quantum Control system and report any deviation from
set plans.

4. Review Engine Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, Service Letters, All

5. Conduct fleet surveys and other data collecting efforts in the APU/Powerplant arena.
6. Evaluate pre/post purchase borescope/boroblend inspection reports for compliance,
accuracy, and completeness.
7. Provide satellite and on-site technical assistance with maintenance activities as
required to support Roswell maintenance personnel.
8. Provide build specifications, and part number interchangeability information in area
of Powerplants/Engines.
9. Evaluate/witness engine test runs and provide detailed calculations and reports
consistent with Company standards.
10. Assist customers in Powerplant troubleshooting efforts as required and evaluate
fleet Engine Trend Reports as required to support Company lease obligations.
11. Monitor customer utilization and forecast fleet APU and Engine removal
requirements.
12. Provide technical support and direction as required to support Company Engine Part
Sale initiatives and requirements.
13. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs
