This document contains a summary of the latest event information related to the Village of

Aim High 4-H Club Fundraiser Event

Hey There Shepherd
The Aim High 4-H Club is sponsoring a community service/fund raiser/4-H promotional event in
the form of a blood drive with Michigan Blood.
For every person who registers and shows up with the intent of donating, we get $10! There is a
one-page sheet you have to complete if you have not donated through Michigan Blood before,
but its very basic information.
Anyone 17 years and older is eligible; 16-year-olds can donate with parental consent.
The drive will be held Thursday, August 28, from 3 - 8pm at Veteran Memorial Librarys annex
room.
As extra incentive to donate, names will be drawn from the pool of donors for several
merchandise items from local businesses.
Even if you cant/dont want to donate, but know someone who would be willing, pass this on
and have them let me know. We would love to see 60 people (or more) show up!
Please encourage family, friends, and co-workers to participate.
Summer is a difficult time for blood banks; the demand is still high, but donations drop off. This
is a win-win opportunity, so lets make it happen!
Our club will be donating all proceeds toward the fair boards building project at the fairgrounds.

Spirit Team Cheer Clinic Sept 14

Mark your calendars!
Spirit Team Cheer Clinic will take place on Sunday, September 14, 2014 from 1:00-4:00pm in
the SHS Main Gymnasium & Mat Room. Cost will be $45 and your child will receive a t-shirt and
hair bow. Youth football games are Sept 27, Oct 4 & 18.
Registration flyers will be sent home the first week of September. If you would like to pre-
register please email Coach Hall & Coach Campbell for more information.

Third Annual Jeremy Jake Dickman
memorial Race
via Mt. Pleasant Speedway

This next Friday Aug 15, Will be the 3rd Annual Jeremy Jake Dickman memorial race. The
Dickman has produced some of the best dirt racing in the state of Michigan the past couple of
years. So far in the Ump Mod division there has been one winner of the prestigious event taking
the victory in 2012 and 2013 the #82 of Jacob Poel has held the checker flag. The 3rd Annual is
here this Friday night will it be the same this year or who will add there name to list of winning
The Dickman!

Mitchells Deli nominated for Best
Sandwhich in Mid Michigan as a part of
WNEM TV5s Top 5 series
In the contest, Mitchells Deli came in second for MidMichigans best sandwhich. The results are
