Dear Friends in Christ:
In this season of the year when we commemorate the first advent
of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, we wish for you the joys and
prosperity that belong to the faithful stew^ird who awaits His coming.
My desire was to write to you personally, but the approaching
time of our departure to the Philippines with its increasing, tasks is
consuming our time. As we hear from you, we will be able to write and
tell you of our labors for Him and your victories in the Islands.
Many years ago we answered the Lord*s call to labor in His vine
yard and have tried to follow His direction in the various places
where we have worked. Believing it to be His desire for us to go to
the Philippines to labor among the natives and teach in Aparri Bible
Seminary, about the first of June this year we announced our desire
to answer this call.
Our needs for this venture, besides pledges for living-link, were
estimated at: $3,000 for travel and freight costs, $2,000 for equip
ment, and $5,000 to build a house (since nothing can be rented) and
money for our living until living-linlc support was received.
Since the last of June, we have been visiting the churches and
presenting the Philippine work. The following is an accounting of
what we have received from churches and individuals:

We rejoice that all of our living-link has been pledged, but you
can see by the above report that we need at least $2500 more by sailing
time, and that does not provide for any housing for us in Aparri, Time
is our most precious commodity and we don*t want to delay our sailing
February 25. On behalf of the Lord, we shall be grateful for
anything that you may send, that together we may fulfill the command
of the Lord to evangelize the whole world. May the Lord bless you in
your faithful stewardship.
^Sincerely in Christ,
Norval A. Campbell
