No Apologies Necessary!
Romans 1.14-17
The crux of the matter (Romans 1.16)
Gentlemen, this is a football !
Vince Lombardi emphasizes a need to get back to the basics .
Ladies and gentlemen, this is the gospel of Jesus Christ!
What is our message ? (See 1 Corinthians 15.1-4)
The gospel and the culture
We live in a perverse and passionate generation.
Nothing is new we face the same societal trends as seen in ancient Rome. (Romans 1)
We are experiencing dramatic changes in our culture.
Now, we live in a Post - Christian America.
We must return to the basics and build the church.
The gospel and the church
Consider the supremacy of the gospel.
The gospel confronts and invites there is no power without the gospel!
Do you remember the most expensive haircut in history?
Samson becomes as other men he does not know his strength is gone !
Will this happen to us?
We must maintain the integrity of the message.
The gospel and the Christian
The gospel is the only saving message that
transforms lives.
Will we choose to make a difference?
Be equipped and empowered can we
say with Paul, I am not ashamed of the gospel?
No apologies are necessary now, or ever!
