would be useful. For example, a UNESCO Intern recently provided one of our CaSing Volunteers
with an application form for internship
opportunities in Paris with UNESCO. Also, the UN Volunteer Coordinator in Samoa recently at a
regular meeting of the volunteer sending organizations in-country, mentioned that it has
been challenging lately for the UN to get the UN Volunteer Coordinator positions in the Pacific filled.
Posting these types of opportunities, if they are
not already, in the Hotline would be also be
helpful.
Similarly, PCVs are in the perfect position to be
able to disseminate information to communities about potential UN Volunteer positions that host country citizens are eligible to apply for either in-country or overseas.
Strengthening coordination efforts on this would, undoubtedly, prove
beneficial for all involved.
