Arm-of-the-Sea Theater has been delighting audiences for 30 years. Performance
credits include: Lincoln Center Out of Doors Festival (NY), Detroit Festival of the Arts
(MI), Madison Civic Center (WI), Papermill Playhouse (NJ), Puppet Showplace Theatre
(MA), Purchase Performing Arts Center (NY), Central Penn. Festival of the Arts (PA),
Providence First Works (RI), Chautauqua Institute (NY), Lotus Festival of World Music
(IN) and the American Museum of Natural History (NY).

HIS CIRCUS IS AN ALLEGORY
featuring gorgeous masks
and puppet characters, a unique
hand-made set and live original
music. The story follows Malakai,
a messenger and water carrier who
travels between Mountain Peaks and
the Deep Blue Sea.
Along his journeys Malkai encounters
a host of creatures, including a
lyrical sea turtle, a fast-talking crow,
a pair of industrious beavers, beds
of lter-feeding oysters, and schools
of migrating sh. Each animal offers
insights into their particular role in a
watersheds ecosystem services.
When the old man falls ill his
granddaughter Rachel must rise to
the challenge and help restore her
grandfather, the River, back to health.
CIRCUS runs one hour in length and
is ideally suited for family audiences,
arts-in-education settings and water -
shed awareness events. It can be
presented on a stage, a large room or
out-of-doors.
