There are churches which will not allow a visiting missionary to speak unless a church recommendation can be shown. Since it is impos sible for any one person to know all Christians in the world, this recommendation by a respon sible New Testament church is a vital help in persuading others of your worthiness and the value of your mission. Mission Services stands ready to help you inform HORIZONS readers about your church recommendations. Since the church is sending you to the mission field (Acts 13:1-3) and will help provide the necessary needs on the field, naturally the church should share the credit in your missionary ministry. One of the ways that the church can do this is to share their conviction regarding your missionary ministry with others. Certainly, their words will help convince others regarding the worthiness of your work. Please help MKSION SERVICES to spread your news through HORIZONS, Packets and Slide library by sending your church recom mendations as soon as possible. Thanks. Your own story in some detail might be influential in leading others into fulltime service (Use an extra sheet if you need more space); We are going to the Chilean Mission field because of the influence of our missionary friends as they challenged us with the need and the great opportunities for serving that were going begging upon every field in this wcrid. We feel an intense desire to fulfill the Gre t Commission. In this manner we will be obedient to the commands of our blessed Saviour. Charles Holland, retired Marine Colonel who served overseas inChile told us that he saw no churdhes in the great cities of Chile. When le consider the recent population explosion we face the realization that Santiago and Valparaiso there are some TWO MILLION SOULS DYING withmt Saviour. The Word of God must be preached that it may ascomplishtoat whereunto God hath sent it. We*ll use Radio, Correspondence Courses, "Jtef-Sliiy duties on the field; Prayer will ooen and close our day. Upon discovering from V/ayne Hayes that we TO all the WORLD could not use Radio to spread the gospel in Mexico we and PREACH sought another field for our later* The Holy Spirit turned our attention to annther part of the world, and inevitably to Chile. When A. B. KcReynolds, W, E, McGilvrey, Bertrand Smith and retired Mirine Colonel, Charles HoUani encouraged our decision we felt greatly strengthened in our desire to preach the gospel of Christ in Chile, HOW MIGHTILY MOVES THE ARM OF GODI That which became a compelling idea in our mind has now assumed form and reality. We have presented our plans to six different con gregations in the greater Atlanta area. Through July 15, 1965 God has blessed our efforts exceedingly. In the space of one calendar month we have eighty three(83) PRAYER PARTNERS committed to PRAY for our plans in the Chilean Christian Radio Mission. In this group are seventeen (17) that are committed to LIVING LINK SUPPORT, All are individual ffifl'ers. Three congregations have told us they will try to give some toward our LIVING LINK SUPPORT. GOD HEARS AND ANSWERS OUR PRAYERS. A few days prior to Jioly 1 we asHed our PRAYER PARTNERS to PRAY for a Volkswagen to use while we traveled to raise our support. On Smday July 11 Phil and Harrieute Holder of the Mableton church told us we could use their 62 VW until we left for Chile, PRAISE GOD FOR HELP HE SUPPLIES THROUGH HIS avINTSl We are concentrating upon the small gift bound up in many MANY PRAYERS. We encourage the use of the FAITH PROMISE plan of Mission giving. We csn heartily recommend it to any congre^tion that wi shes to do great things for God and for the cause of the church of our Lord and Saviour. ACCORDING TO YOUR FAITH; AND AS GOD PROSPERS YOU, We need $600.00 per month for LIVING LINK SUPPORT and an additional $500,00 per month for our Service link. The latter will be used to preach Christ'over the air and to offer Bible Correspondence Ccurses. We are in need of Study courses in Spanish.. PERSONAL CONTACT will be made with those who show a vital concern for the truth in God's Testament to mankind. In this way we will be able to plant the church in new areas that have not been reached with the message of Christ. If it be in God's will we PRAY that this may grow into a Christian Bible Institute. pray Pray PRAY that God's will be the will for our lives as we strive to serve our Saviour in th^ '-^ntral part of Chile, An area 110 miles wide and 200 miles long has more than half the population of the entire country of Chile. This plan is elaborated in the Triumphant Missionary Ministry by Norman Lewis. It will electrify you and shame you at the same time. The plan is a Scriptural plan.
