MANUFACTURING PROCESS

The process of making chewing – gum is very simple to


understand.

Chewing – gum is cocked to a temperature of 290 – 300 F. in open


hand. The temperature emplaced in vacuum cooker is about 240 – 200 F. the
product from boiling pan is powered on a cool plate or slab in the case of hard
sugar or slab in the case of hard sugar boiling and on setting cut with a die.
Alternatively, it is be into a batch alternatively, it is bed into by size roller and
cut in an automatic machine.

Syrup :-

Sugar, glucose syrup glycerine, in necessary quantity along with water


and processed in with water and processed in (an agitating) used with stream as
medium of heat generation, the sugar and above raw material and water are
mixed and syrup is made.

Cooking :-

The above prepared syrup is than cooked at the reduced temperature in


the cooks with the help of steam. At this stage gumbase, permitted emulsifiers,
and flavours and permitted colours is added. This cooked milk is then cooled in
cooking tables.

Rope Sizing :-

This cooked milk is then proceeding in batch roller cum rope size to
steam the required size of rope.

processing industry is an important component of it. Now chewing gum become
a common item of consumption among all classes of people. Chewing gum
constitute an important item of confectionary, chewing gum are the most likely
food to the children and it have gained propularity as a convenient food items in
today’s fast and busy life. The last two years, which envisages the scope for
setting a chewing gum manufacturing unit.

For producing goods raw – material is for most significant value without
raw materials a firm can not produce the desire out put so, raw material is the
primary necessary for producing out put.

There are various raw materials which are used in production of chewing
gum, the suppliers of raw materials are as follow.

Sugar :- sugar will available from Baroda and Ahmedabad.

Flavour & Colours :- it will provided by S. Flavour fragrance 102/103, Nav


Vivek industries mogul lane Mumbai.

Gum base & Emulsifiers :- it will provided by,

Surat.

Glycerine and glucose syrup will bring from local market.


My unit is Sabalpur. Gov’t. has declared this area as an.

Sugar gum base, glucose syrup, permitted and emulsifiers,


permitted colours, flavours and antioxidant. All above mentioned are easily
available locally.
