INDIGENOUS LANGUAGE REVITALIZATION


What we will do:
look at the role indigenous languages play in communities
visit a Cajun community and discuss issues of importance with speakers
visit Native American communities involved in language revitalization
meet with people involved with the politics of language in Louisiana
investigate the practice of language revitalization
discover the historical influences of other cultures in the city of New Orleans
through art and literature
