Time spent viewing online video rose by 25% year-over-year in Sept.

, although the metric dropped


nearly 5% from its peak in August, according to Nielsen. (Total streams were up 41% y/y in August.)
Unique monthly viewers also climbed y/y - up 12.3% to 139.3 million. The number of streams per viewer
also was up 11% to 79.1 average streams per month. YouTube was still responsible for over 50% of all
U.S. streams (6.7 billion) with Hulu a distinct second at 437.4 million. Facebook, which ranked #3 in
unique viewers, cracked the top 10 delivering 110.4 million streams.
