Edd Bryant, of Old Hickory, passed away January 31, 2010 at the age of 71. He
is survived by his wife, Nellie Bryant; son, Brian Bryant; daughters, Sammie (Scott) Bell,
Melissa (John) Moulton, Pamela (Joseph) Batson, and Angela (fiancé, David Kielty) Hedden;
brothers, Otis (Julia) Bryant and Darrell (Sherry) Bryant; sisters, Shirley (Arthur) Wood,
Diane Miller, and Deborah (Michael) Vaughn; grandchildren, Dawn, Ashley, Jacob, Sarah,

HAGAR, John Thomas


John Thomas Hagar, age 96 of Mt. Juliet, TN, died Saturday, January 30, 2010. Mr.
Hagar was a lifetime member of Dodson Chapel United Methodist Church and was retired
from DuPont after 42 years of service. He was a fisherman and a gardener and participated
in the Senior Olympics for several years. His greatest joy was his family. Mr. Hagar was
the son of the late, James Henry and Eva Brent Hagar. He was also preceded in death by
his wife, Elva Hinson Hagar; brothers, Ira and James Hagar and sister, Corrine Hagar. He
is survived by: children – Betty Jean Burns, Christine H. (Harry) Northcutt and Jim (Mary
Jane) Hagar; eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be
