Summary.

The film was released in 2009 and it is directed by Danny Boyle. It won 8 oscars. The title is « Slumdog Millionaire »
as the main character Jamal Malik goes from rags to riches. He used to beg in the Juhu slums and at the end , he wins
20 million rupees with the game « who wants to be a milllionaire? ».

The film is full of adventure, suspense , drama and romance.

It starts at the police station and we see jamal who is tortured by the policemen because he’s accused of cheating.

The film is marked by the flashbacks between the game, his past life with Litaka and his brother Salim and his stay at
the police station. It allows us to understand why he could answer the questions and why he went on the show.
Indeed, he went there to find his lost love Latika.

At the end, he wins the game and finds Latika. It’s a happy end. It reminds us of a fairy tale.
