Karate
Karate
Karate-do means "empty hand way" is a martial art from
Okinawa. The arrival of the Japan Karate is located in the
month of May 1922, founded by Master Gichin Funakoshi,
assigned as president of the Martial Arts Association of
Okinawa.
Karate-do is characterized by the use of
punches and kicks coordinating force (ki),
breathing, balance and posture, as well as
the proper hip rotation and movement of
limbs.

The practice of Karate is divided into two parts, in Kata and
Kumite

Kata is a series or sequence of movements can be
practiced simulating real combat

Kumite is a fight in which techniques
practiced theoretically (in Kata) are
applied in a confrontation with a real
opponent.
Karate
The suit used in karate
practice is the karategi, is
composed of a jacket,
trousers and a belt.
Obi (belts)
Karate

White first belt, 9 Kyu.

Yellow: second belt, 8 Kyu.

Orange: third belt, 7 Kyu.

Green: fourth belt, 6 Kyu.

Blue: Fifth belt, 5 Kyu.

Blue # 2: sixth belt, 4 Kyu.

Brown 1: seventh belt, 3 Kyu.

Brown 2: eighth belt, 2 Kyū.

Brown 3: ninth belt, 1 Kyu.

1st Dan Black: tenth maximum belt Kyu.
Karate
I started karate 5 years old beginning with white belt and
child could practice up to 17 years old with a black belt.
Now I can return to practice karate.
Anyone can practice Karate only need to have discipline
and dedication.
I consider myself good at karate as a
child because I devote to this sport to get
the black belt developing my skill with fists
and kicks, and won several competitions
