Create an Active Directory in Windows Server

1. Use “dcpromo” command in run consol

2. Then click next in welcome active directory screen

3. Click next when operating system capability appear

4. Chose Domain in a new forest, then click next

5. Write down your domain name

5. NetBios will set automatically, then click net

6. This window is to set your Database and Log Folder, just make it default

7. Click next in shared system volume

8. this screen is to registration diagnostic for dns server, just install it and click next

9. Give a permission only windows 2000 and windows 2003, then click next
10. Give a password for restore mode. Combine font, char and number for your password

11. Just click next on summary screen

12. Wait until installation your active directory complete

13. When your active directory is successful installed on your system just click next
14. This window is used to create a user in k2y.com

15. Type your password

16. When finish click finish

17. This window is used to create a group in k2y.com

18. To move your user just left click your user then chose add to a group

19. Type your group name, just click check names to make it easy. Then click ok
20. That is a information that your user is successsfuly moved to agroup

21. To make sure your dns server and active directory work properly type nslookup (your domain name),
in cmd mode
22. Then ping your domain name to check it

23. After checking in your windows server is succesfuly, now try to ping your domain in another
computer in your network
24. And try to nslookup it too, from another computer in your network
