2009 Term Court Orders

The vast majority of cases filed inthe Supreme Court are disposed of summarily by unsigned orders. Suchan order will, for example, deny a petition for certiorari withoutcomment. Regularly scheduled listsof orders are issued on eachMonday that the Court sits, but"miscellaneous" orders may beissued in individual cases at anytime. Scheduled order lists are posted on this Website on the dayof their issuance, whilemiscellaneous orders are posted onthe day of issuance or the next day.

Caution:

These electronic orders may contain computer-generated errors or other deviations from theofficial printed versions. Moreover, all order lists and miscellaneous orders are replaced within a fewmonths by paginated versions of them in a preliminary print of the United States Reports, and one year after the issuance of the preliminary print by the final version of the orders in a U. S. Reports boundvolume. In case of discrepancies between the print and electronic versions of orders, the print versioncontrols.
