When will this city get it? We have already lost so much of the historic fabric that consists of nearly three centuries of architectural traditions. In a city generally better known for its 19th c. built form, our modern buildings are particularly susceptible. Rivergate? A crime. There is some fabulous modern architecture in New Orleans that is as much a part of our city's story as any Victorian or Creole structure, equally deserving of conservation.
