In a safeand caring environment, parents, students, and educators must work as a team to build a strong foundation in academics and character.
Dear Parents/Guardians: Hello there and welcome to May! During the 2009-2010 school year, I have had the wonderfulopportunity to work closely with Mary Kay Kelly as an administrative intern. Getting to know thePark Hills students and families during this time has helped me understand and appreciate theimportance of connecting the daily work of school with families and the larger school community.Thank you to Mrs. Kelly, Park Hills staff, students and families. It is hard to believe that the end of the school year is only 6 weeks away! As easy as it is to get caught up in the warmer weather and spring activities, it is essential that we continue toencourage the children to keep learning as the number one priority. Thank you in advance for your partnership in the efforts to focus on the important learning activities taking place in ourclassrooms each day throughout the month of May and early June.Be sure to post the calendar of events in a handy place to be aware of the events that will be taking place at Park Hills in May. Mark your calendar for the PTA Family Block Party on Tuesday,May 18, from 6:00-8:00 PM. Please remember this is a night for the entire familyentire familyentire familyentire family to enjoy together. We look forward to seeing you all there!Looking for a summer activity? The Guthrie Memorial Library’s (Hanover Public Library) Summer Reading Program is a great opportunity to combine reading and fun activities! The programencourages continued reading while participating in exciting events at the library. Let’s see if Park  Hills can have the most minutes read of all the area schools! Parents, we need your help! Please use the car rider circle for both arrival and dismissal times. Toensure a safe and smooth transition for our students, please stay in the circle, and the first car in aset should always pull up to the painted white line at the top of the circle. Unless permission hasbeen granted to park in the side lot, please wait in line with all the car rider parents. Thank you very much for your help. It is truly appreciated!

Proper Dress ReminderProper Dress ReminderProper Dress ReminderProper Dress Reminder
As we start having these beautiful summer-like days, it is important to remind your child of  proper dress while at school. All clothing should be appropriate for our school setting, such as appropriate length shorts, Capri pants, short sleeve or sleeveless shirts, or sneakers. Please avoid tank tops, belly shirts, spaghetti straps, short shorts, or other clothing that mayinterfere with learning in the classrooms. Also, be advised that if your child chooses to wearsandals or flip flops to school, they can be hazardous while on the playground. This type of  footwear is strongly discouraged in the school setting to help avoid injury to our students.Don’t forget to check the daily forecast, as well. Jackets may be needed due to chilly mornings. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Mrs. Kelly. Thank you for your help in thismatter.
