 Beliefs
 The belief of saying “tabi-tabi po” even if no one is around
because my ancestors believed that 20% of the people you see
are not humans but spirits and sometimes they occupy rarely
used rooms of the house that is why wherever you go, you say
“tabi2x” because you might hit the being without knowing it and
then later on pay the price of things such as “buyag2x”.

 The belief of not cutting fingernails at night because it somehow

relates to deaths of the family member of what we call
“Manungô”.

 The Belief that if a spoon falls, it means that you will have a
visitor- a girl, and if the forks falls you will get a visitor- a boy.

 The Belief that when you see a black cat at night, an accident
will happen.

 The Belief that if you dream about losing your teeth, somebody
will die.

 The Belief of clearing the table while an unmarried woman is

still eating because she might end up an old maid.

 The Belief that the bride should not try on her wedding dress
before the wedding. If she does, the wedding will not push
through.

 The Belief of sleeping with your feet facing the door or the
ghosts will get you easily.

 The Belief of sweeping the rubbish out the door at night,

because you will sweep all the good luck out.

 The Belief of Pregnant women not eating black foods like

Adobong Pusit or Dinuguan because their babies will have dark
skin.
 Material Culture

 Laptop Computer

This gadget is the most important for me as of the moment because

of the convenience in getting information out of the internet and
convenience in preparing my projects, it is also somehow entertaining
when it comes to leisure.

 Cellphone

This gadget is important just because of convenience in relaying

important messages for my love ones and for some emergency
cases.

 TV with cable

This is also important because I am a big fan of English movies so I

love HBO, Cinemax and such. A TV without cable would be just
another trash for me otherwise it would be good if there is a DVD
player.

 DVD player

This I hate to live without because my favorite pastime is watching

movies and of course it would be not useful if there is not TV that
goes with it.

 Wrist Watch

I can’t go out of the house without a watch because I am a time

conscious person.

 Nebulizer

This is not a want but a need actually, since I am asthmatic, I badly

need this.

 Genuine Jewelry
This is an heirloom and is somewhat has a sentimental value to me.

 Shoes

I am a big shoe fetish, only now that our budget is limited that I get to
limit shopping shoes.

 Motorcycle

Our motorcycle is the first most expensive thing that my husband and
I bought and I like the convenience during traffic hours.
