EVENED UP
The Nationals and Dodgers split the first two games of this NLDS with the Dodgers securing
the victory in Game 1 before Washington rebounded to take Game 2...Theirs is the only NLDS
series this Postseason in which each team has won at least one game.
With Saturday's rainout, the club's traveled to LA overnight to open Game 3 at Dodger
Stadium at 1:08 p.m. PT on Monday...Game 4 is slated for 2:08 p.m. PT on Tuesday.
LOBY LONGBALL
With the Nationals' trailing, 2-0, in the fourth inning on Sunday, C Jose Lobaton crushed
a three-run home run to left field to put Washington up, 3-2 -- a lead from which they never
looked back...It was the second career Postseason home run for Lobaton, who hit a walk-off
homer for the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 3 of the 2013 ALDS against Boston and has now left
the yard with two of his three career Postseason knocks.
According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Lobaton is just the second catcher in MLB PostseaTHE REGULAR-SEASON SERIES
son history to hit a lead-assuming home run with his team trailing by at least two runs...
The Dodgers hold the edge in the all-time series since baseball returned to the District in 2005,
He joins Jim Hegan, who hit a three-run homer in Game 5 of the 1948 World Series for
44-27...The Nationals took the 2014 season series from LA, 4-2, but fell in the 2015 version,
Cleveland, turning a 4-2 deficit into a 5-4 lead...Cleveland won the title in six games.
2-4, and in the 2016 series, 1-5.
