TAKING CONTROL
The Nationals' 8-3 victory over the Dodgers on Monday pushed them to a 2-1 series lead, and
one win from clinching the first trip to the National League Championship Series in Nationals
history (2005-present)...The eight runs were a Nationals Postseason record, topping their
seven-run total on Oct. 12, 2012 vs. STL...Washington's offense was keyed by 3B Anthony
Rendon, whose two-run blast in the third sparked a four-run frame, LF Jayson Werth (3-for4, 2B, HR, 2 RBI, BB, 2 R), and 1B Ryan Zimmerman (2-for-4, 2B, 2 RBI, BB, R).
