Call for Research and Industry Thought Papers

The Institute for Open Economic Networks (I-OPEN) is co-sponsor of the 2nd
conference on Collaborative Innovation Networks (COINs) Conference, October
7-9, 2010, hosted by the Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) in
Savannah, GA.

The COINs2010 Call for Papers invites education, economic, and workforce
development leaders to share knowledge of insights and innovations in the
emerging Science of Collaboration.

COINs2010 is co-sponsored by Savannah College of Art and Design, MIT Center


for Collective Intelligence, Wayne State University College of Engineering-
Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, and I-Open.
COINs2010 is a multi-disciplinary international group of practitioners, researchers
and students studying the emerging science of collaboration.

Collaboration may be the most challenging aspect of innovation. How we work


together at higher levels of intelligent sharing will connect leaders and
organizations to strategic, competitive solutions for thriving communities and
regions. We encourage you to submit a paper about your important work in
economic development and related fields, as well as invite you to participate in
this exciting knowledge community gathering in beautiful, historic Savannah.

COINs2010 will also offer a pre-conference half-day Coolhunting Training


Course, Thurs October 7, 2010, to help you learn how to become an effective
coolhunter of trends using the dynamic semantic social network analysis tool
Condor. Workshop participants will receive a three-month trial of Condor.

The COINs2010 Conference is presented by the COINs Collaborative, an
initiative of the Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD), Wayne State
University College of Engineering, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology
(MIT) Center for Collective Intelligence. The Collaborative builds open knowledge
networks to advance the emerging Science of Collaboration for research and
industry competitive advantage.
