When: Thursday, July 1
10 a.m.—3 p.m. will be available to the community at the Metro Transit Center.
Where: METRO Transit Center
Community Room National HIV Testing Day is an annual campaign which encourages at-risk
631 S. Broadway, Akron individuals* to receive voluntary HIV counseling and testing.

HIV counseling and testing enables people with HIV to take steps to
protect their own health and that of their partners, and helps people who
test negative get the information they need to stay uninfected.

CDC recommends being tested at least once a year if you do things that can transmit HIV infection, such as
injecting drugs or steroids with used injection equipment , having sex for money or drugs, having sex with an
HIV infected person, having more than one sex partner since your HIV test or having a sex partner who has
had other sex partners since your last HIV test.
