CREATIVITY FOR ALL


1. Introduction
Simply “Discovering New Ideas or Concept” is called as creativity. By word
it is very simple but actually it is fully based on the psychology of a
person. That means no one can understand the other’s psychology.
Creativity is the department independent.

1.1. What is Creativity?


Every person will define the word creativity in their own words. As a
graphic designer I can derive the word “Creativity” as

“Creating the new ideas which are completely distinct from other
campaigns or ideas to create competitive edge for the person or the
organization”

When a person wants to develop his brand name, he must be differing


from others, in the sense his difference of action must be accepted by the
mass.

1.2. Objectives of Creativity:-


The main objective of the creativity is to give innovation, speed and
growth of any business/personal activities. There are “3i tools” used to
achieve the goal.
1. Incubate
“Grow under condition that leads to development” is called
incubate. So, whenever a person wants to his innovative thoughts
which should be under some conditions derived by Business Ethics
or Personal Ethics.
2. Imagine
“Think beyond the real world”. The innovators always think about
new taught which may not be real or not thinkable by others.
3. Improve
“To make better”. The conditioned idea has been imaged beyond
the real must be developed by the innovator. So the innovators not
stop with thinking but also they should ready to develop those
ideas in to real.

2. Factors motivating Creativity in the workplace:-


1. Challenge
Normally, everybody is having challenges in the workplace. The
challenges for a manager or any subordinate in an organization
which are coming from different ways. They may be Environment,
Technology, and stress etc. When a person facing and solving the
challenges by his/her innovative ideas, that leads to both
improvement and creativity skills of that person.
2. Freedom
This is the factor which affects the motivation of creativity in the
workplace; because no organization is ready give more freedom for
their employees. When an organization provide the freedom of
thinking and saying their opinion which will develop mutual benefit;
one is development of activities of the employee another is the
growth of business opportunity.
3. Resources
Here we consider time and money as the resources for motivating
the creativity skills. When a person gets good remuneration, he will
work for the organization in the rational manner and timely manner
also. Most of the innovators not sleep more than 5-6 hours per day.

They think always about new, new and new with the available
resources.
4. Organizational Support
In organization “Support for Employee” will grow the new ideas in
business. Example, involvement of Low Level Management people
in New Product Development and Research and Development (R &
D).

3. Applications of Creativity:-
Every person can apply his own Creativity ideas in their field. But in
general Creativity is applied on
1. Advertisement
2. Film Industry
3. Writing examinations
4. New Product Development
5. Brand Extension
6. Productivity by Innovative Human Resource Management

3.1 Creativity in advertisement and film industry


In today’s life all young person are interested in Advertisement. In today’s
business environment no one can imagine that “The Business without
Advertisement” The advertisement must follow the AIDA (Attention,
Interest, Desire, and Action) principle. So the advertisement should lead
the customer to make action (i.e. purchase the product). In this electronic
era, everybody is having broad knowledge about all products and services
due to internet. So this is a very complicate process to brainwash the
customer to make purchase. Here the only tool for brainwash is not simple
advertisement there is need of “Creative Advertisement”.

Creativity is not leading the process to expensive one. In today’s


innovative world lot of Film Directors and Advertisement Directors are
creating their advertisement or film with minimum budget while their
concept are very costly.

3.2 Creativity in writing examinations


This section is especially for students. Every student wants to get more
marks in their examinations; but due to lack of skills they can’t. The
valuator expect both content as well as good presentation in the paper

while evaluate. In this stage the candidate should know the concept of
Empathy that is while writing the examinations they should forecast what
the valuator expect for the particular question. According to my point of
view, the students those who are comes under above category they can
apply the following creative ideas while examination.
1. They may use diagrams / flowchart / dataflow diagram etc to fill
the paper and issue the valuable concept. This will reduce the time
consumption.
2. They may use cases while answer the question. This will create the
good perception about you among the valuator’s mind.
3. They may explore apt examples in between the answer.
4. Highlight the quotes (speech marks) of popular person in the square
boundary.

3.3 Creativity in developing new product


New Product Development is the competitive tool for any business. Today
all business persons want to satisfy and get more customers through new
and innovative products or services. When the vendor can develop new
product with innovative idea? The answer for the question is the vendor
should have broader mind and real time products by big vendors in the
world. The Environmental Scan is the effective tool in this situation. The
vendor should know the target customer’s expectations. This is only
possible by Environmental Scan.

3.4 Brand Extension


As increasing level of competition every business person or any innovative
person should expand their role of brands. That means, people will not
accept the same brand for long period. They need “Change” in anywhere.
For example; if you are LKG student computer basic knowledge is the
competitive advantage of you. But during the under graduate period if you
have same knowledge, people will not recognize you. So you need to
expand your brand, periodically.

3.5 Productivity by innovative Human Resource Management


The low level labors expect some monetary or non-monetary recognize
from the Middle or Top level management people. When they get those
recognize this will leads to more productivity. The manager should have
the creative ideas in applying good human resource strategy for solving

the problem. In today’s world this is the main problem in labor market is
that absenteeism. To solve this problem I am having the following
alternatives.
1. Give some small incentives for those who having the 100% attendance
per week.
2. Provide some promotion – Non monetary motivation.
3. Artificial demand for a person.
If some person’s performance is not good, the manager should
create some artificial demand for the particular person. This can be
created by saying “He has achieved First Prize in Performance”. But
actually it is not.

4. Boost your creativity


1. Listen to music
If you are troubled by headaches or strange urges in the middle of
the night, it is very good treatment that Listening Music. I am
interested in “3idiots” songs. While I am hearing the song am
getting motivated and my tension.
2. Brainstorm
Brainstorming can help you not only come up with sacks full of new
ideas, but can help you decide which is best.
3. Keep Storyboard / Script note with you
Whenever you have some create idea in your field just record it in
the special notebook (Story board note / Script notebook).
4. Search more in the internet or in magazines
I will never prescribe to read text books to get some innovative
ideas. Magazines are the very good resource for identify the current
scenario of the electronic world. Whenever a creative person having
more idea about current scenario, it will grow his/her creativity.
5. Analyse more in small things
Analyse more and more from the small object itself. If you watch
the advertisement on TV don’t get bore about the advertisement.
Analyse the advertisement by, what is the background? Who all are
the players in the advertisement? What is the theme of the
advertisement? Etc...

5. Conclusion
Thus from the above snippet I have conclude that, all the person having
their own creativity, but the problem in explore that. It is very necessary
in everybody’s life to explore their creativity to the world. If any chances
occur, just try to utilize and catch the opportunity. Even you are a big
person don’t neglect the small persons’ (by age) ideas; sometimes it may
very effective than yours. If you are the entrepreneur try to implement the
creative product and apply the management concepts (motivation,
performance appraisal, evolution etc…) in the creative manner. The final
things for the creator that, no one will accept your creativity whenever,
your idea not comes under the control and not apt for real world.
