Figure 1. The Church of Holy Wisdom

The Hagia Sophia (Church of Holy Wisdom) was built in Constantinople (now
Istanbul, Turkey) between 532 and 537 under the auspices of Emperor Justinian I.
It was planned and supervised by two architects, Anthemius of Tralles and Isidorus
of Miletus; but hundreds of foremen and thousands of workers were involved.
According to legend, an angel watched over the work and taught the men what
they needed to know for the construction. It was completed in less than six years.
On December 25, 537, Hagia Sophia was dedicated. The temple itself was so
richly and artistically decorated that Justinian proclaimed:

"Solomon, I have outdone thee!"

Hagia Sophia was the largest church for the next 1000 years and remains the fourth
largest today.

The original dome fell after an earthquake and was replaced in 563.

The church became a mosque after the Ottoman conquest of 1453, and is now a
museum.

The upper most dome of the Hagia Sophia officially is 108 feet in diameter = d = b
(Figure 2-3).

Figure 4. Geometry of the Great Pyramid’s height

Height of the Great Pyramid: 147.6505019 m

(147.6505019 x 2) : 10 = 29.53010038 m = C (Figure 4)

Area of the Square B = 872.0268285 m² = Area of the Circle A

d = 33.32116414 m = 1311.856856 inches = 109.3214047 feet

The number of the King’s Chamber length = 412.1316378 inches

412.1316378 : 3.14159 = 131.1856856 inches

The dome of the Hagia Sophia = 108 feet:

109.3214047 – 108 = 1.321404668 feet = 15.85685602 inches = 40.27641428 cm

109.3214047 feet = diameter of the dome plus 1.321404668 feet (40.27641428

cm) of the wall thickness on the ring of the dome. In the ring of the dome (base of
the dome) geometry of the Great Pyramid was implementet (Figure 5).

Figure 7. Hagia Sophia, Church of Holy Wisdom, is 180 ft high (H).

The height of Hagia Sophia's dome is 180 feet = 2160 inches = 54.864 m.

54,864 x 2 = 109,728 m = 1 skein

What is skein?

The English have a measurement of length, which they call skein. Skein is a
loosely coiled length of yarn or thread wound on a reel:

1 skein = 120 yards = 2160 inches 109,728 meters

“In the twenty-fifth year of our exile, at the beginning of the year, on the tenth
day of the month, in the fourteenth year after the city was struck down, on that
very day, the hand of the Lord was upon me, and he brought me there. He brought
me, in visions of God, to the land of Israel, and set me down upon a very high
mountain, on which was a structure like a city to the south. When he brought me
there, a man was there, whose appearance shone like bronze, with a linen cord and
a measuring reed in his hand; and he was standing in the gateway. ” (Ezekiel,
Chapter 40, 1-3, New Revised Standard Version of the Bible).

If a certain object was to travel with a speed of 2 sacred cubits ( 50 inches or
127 cm) in a second, for 24 hours (1 day) it would travel a distance of 109.728 km
= 1000 skeins. For one year of 365.242 days would travel around the Equator of
the Earth: 40,077.27418 km.

“Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind: ‘Who is this that darkens
counsel by words without knowledge? Gird up your loins like a man, I will
question you, and you shall declare to me. ‘Where were you when I laid the
foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding. Who determined its
measurements—surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it?” (Book of
Job, 38, 1-5, New Revised Standard Version of the Bible)

The Earth's equatorial radius = 6378.50168 km = 251,122,113.4 inches

The height of Hagia Sophia's dome = 180 feet = 2160 inches

251,122,113.4 : 2160 = 116,260.2377 inches = 295,301.0038 cm = 2.953010038

km

2.953010038 : 2 = 1.476505019 km (height of the Great Pyramid = 0.1476505019

km)

The Great Pyramid: 36th course from the natural rock base, or 35th course from
the pavement = 1162.602377 inches high.

The Earth's equatorial radius = 6378.50168 km = 251,122,113.4 inches

The height of Hagia Sophia's dome = 180 feet = 2160 inches

2160 x 2 = 4320

6378,50168 : 4320 = 1,476505019 km = 10 heights of the Great Pyramid

6378.50168 km = 251.122.13,4 inches

251.122.13,4 : 4320 = 58.130,11885 inches = 10 heights of the Great Pyramid
