CONGRATS, BLACK STARS!

The New Patriotic Party congratulates the senior national team, the Black Stars for
qualifying to the one-sixteenth stage of the on-going World Cup tournament in South
Africa.

In spite of the 0-1 deficit in Ghana’s encounter with Germany, maintaining that margin
ensured that we qualified safely to the next stage of the competition. The joy with which
Ghanaians have received the result has been overwhelming and infectious.

The NPP shares in this joy and says Ayekoo!! to our senior national team. We are
confident Ghana will beat the USA on Saturday, the 26th of June 2010 as we did in
Germany 2006 to advance to the quarter finals of the competition.

We understand the improved international image Ghana will enjoy if we put up an

outstanding performance in the tournament, and with it, the economic benefit we stand
to reap as a nation. We therefore wish the Black Stars all the best in the competition and
hope they rise to even greater heights.

Once again, we say AYEKOO!
