Join USC Dornsife Dean Amber D. Miller and USC Jesse M. Unruh Institute of Politics
Director Robert Shrum in a conversation on the tenor of public discourse, particularly in
politics, and its evolution over the years. Moderated by Professor Peter Mancall, Divisional
Dean for the Humanities and Social Sciences, we will explore ways that the university can lead
a charge toward more civil exchanges in the public square.
All students are invited to participate in this lively conversation, the first of several events this
semester in the Dornsife Dialogues series.
The Dornsife Dialogues event series was launched by Dean Miller as a forum to explore complex ideas and
promote civil discourse within the USC Dornsife community. Led by faculty from a range of fields within the
letters, arts and sciences, the Dornsife Dialogues will examine issues of the moment with scholarly depth that
affords new perspective and offers insight on the path ahead.
