This Indenture made the second day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred
and thirty between Northrup Jones and Mary his wife of Oakland in the County of Oakland and
Territory of Michigan of the first part and Luther N Webster of the Town and County aforesaid of the
second part Witnesseth that the parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of one
[hundred?] forty dollars money of account of the United States to them in hand paid before the
ensealing and delivery hereof by the said party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby
confessed and acknowledged Have granted bargained sold remised released aliened conveyed and
confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell rel[ease] alien convey and confirm unto the said
party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns forever All that certain piece or parcel or lot of land
Lying and being situate in said Oakland of which the following is a description to wit: Thirty six [acres?]
in the North part of the South East quarter of section thirty three Town three No[rth] Range Eleven
East Bounded on the South by a line beginning on the East [side?] of said quarter section running
North eighty seven degrees twenty minutes [west?] to the division line of said section from North
To South Together with all and singular the hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in
any wise appertaining and reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and profits
thereof [and] all the Estate right title interest claim and demand whatsoever of the said party of the first
part either in Law or Equity of in and to the said above now granted and bargained premises with the said
hereditaments and appurtenances To have and to hold the said above described piece of parcel of Land
now conveyed to the said party of the second p[art] for themselves their heirs executors and
administrators do covenant grant bargain remise and agree to and with the said party of the second part
his heirs and assigns to Warrant and forever defend the above granted and bargained premises and
[every?] part and parcel thereof now being in the quiet and peaceable possession of the said party of the
second part against the said party of the first part their heirs Executors administrators [and?] assigns and
against all and every other person or persons claiming or to claim the said premises or any part thereof In
witness whereof the said party of the first part have hereunto set their hands and seals this tenth day July
in the Year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and thirty

thousand Eight hundred and thirty came before me the undersigned a Justice of the Peace in and for the
County aforesaid Northrup Jones and Mary his wife Known to me to be the pe[rsons] described in and
acknowledged that they severally signed sealed and delivered the within deed for the uses and purposes
therein mentioned And the said Mary being by me privately examined apart from her said husband
acknowledged that she executed the within deed freely without any fear or compulsion of her said
husband
