Do you think that aliens exist? Should we try to make contact

with them? Why? Why not?

Yes, I think that it is obvious that they exist and anybody who says they
don’t is either a dimwit or brain dead. I think we should all at least
assume that they exist, after all, who are we to say they don’t? We
haven’t seen even half of our galaxy, let alone the universe. And the
universe is so big! How could we even consider the fact that we are alone
in the universe? That is just ridiculous.

Should we try and make contact with them? Definitely not! We shouldn’t
stick our noses into their business. And we shouldn’t beam films to
satellites in space if they are about aliens either! Imagine if they saw
them? Wouldn’t they find it offensive? They might be just like us, they
might be completely different but that doesn’t mean they have to be green
with antennae and three eyes.

Besides, imagine if on a planet there was a race, not as modern as us, and
we went and interfered. It could ruin the whole process of modernisation
or even evolution. And it could also be dangerous. Do you really want
people to know you are there? A planet with water, stable living
temperature and atmosphere? I don’t. And they probably don’t either.
Can you imagine the scale of destruction a war between planets could
have?

I think that they definitely exist, and that we shouldn’t interfere because
making friends aside, the results could be devastating and we could see
things that are more advanced than us or they could see how advanced we
are and it would mess things up for both of us.

What do you think? Do you think, like me, that Stephen Hawking is
right? Do aliens exist and should we avoid them at all costs? I know I do.
